Why is it important to gain knowledge about "women´s leadership"?

Women's have a long history of being silent and anonymous, allowed only to develop their potential in pre determined social roles and many times unable to make their own truthful life choices.

ID WE helps women who want to take part in different areas of society, helping them visualize the value of their contribution.
ID WE promotes cooperation, flexibility, participation and complementary ideas to men's leadership.
ID WE is committed to develop in its participants the ability to listen, communicate and include relationships as a valued dimension of both personal and professional life.
ID WE also promotes intuition, empathy, multitasking and the ability to make creative interconnections between diverse people and ideas.

Why is ID WE important ?

Because there are no programs open to the international community that enables young women to understand the importance of their role in global society.
ID WE provides tools to help women develop their professional path in any direction of their choice.
ID WE's Management also recognizes that gender policies are a growing issue of concern among countries, societies, companies and organizations that want to promote women's growth and inclusion.
ID WE makes possible your goal of obtaining an scholarship to further your education in the US.
Generally speaking women around the world are still absent in negotiations or have very little say in the decision making process.
ID WE seeks to change this by raising awareness about such issues by working to create a learning environment. This will present new opportunities for participants to acquire the necessary tools to participate in relevant decision-making processes.

What is the true contribution by women in the global economy?

Although economic reports tend to ignore the relationship between gender and achievement of sustainable economic growth, studies highlight the importance of women's economic participation. In a world in crisis, there is evidence that sustainable growth occurs in societies where women are actively integrated into the economy.

In the professional field, gender parity is not embraced in situations where management positions need to be filled. According to a study carried out by Workmonitor study, 75% of employees revealed that they have a man as a supervisor. This fails to provide a space for women's development, and results in women excluding themselves from these areas, which continues to increase the gender-gap.

Why International Doorway is interested in developing ID WE?

Given the important role of women, International Doorway wants to make a contribution to empower young women from around the world, who want to deepen their knowledge on female leadership and empowerment.

The ID WE program provides a unique opportunity to live and experience life in a US university campus, within a framework of cultural exchange, mentoring and networking as the program seeks to empower participants' leadership potential and promote their objectives to further their education in the US.
